CROCODILE’S FLYWEIGHT TRANSIT
PACKAGING IS A KNOCKOUT SUCCESS
Since its launch at Pakex 2001,
Crocodile Packaging’s new Flyweight range of quality
transit packaging has proved to be a knockout success
with specifiers looking for a robust yet extremely
lightweight packaging solution.
Crocodile Packaging is widely
acknowledged as a world leader in the development and
supply of one-trip and reusable packaging systems. The
company has a growing list of blue-chip clients
including Nokia,
Bodyshop,
Pepsico
and BMW.
Crocodile offers a full range of bespoke systems
tailored to meet specific application requirements and
protect items of any size and shape during short or long
haul transit. The company’s cost-effective reusable
systems minimise packaging waste and are fully
collapsible for easy return and storage. By investing in
a comprehensive product development programme, Crocodile
ensures that it continues to set industry standards as
logistics operations become more and more sophisticated.
This programme has lead to the recent introduction of
the company’s impressive new Flyweight range of
flatpack containers.
Ideal for transporting small or
lightweight components, the new Flyweight container
system is extremely versatile. Comprising a 10mm fluted
sleeve, which is clipped or banded onto a customised
pallet base, the system can be specified for one trip or
for multi-use. Flyweight containers are the ideal
returnable solution for airfreight and are suitable for
the transportation of a wide range of items from medical
equipment to industrial mouldings.
Manufactured from polypropylene, the
fluted sleeve provides excellent protective strength and
longevity. The Flyweight sleeve can be manufactured to
suit any size of cargo and supplied with a choice of
pallet bases. Fully collapsible, the sleeve can be
folded onto the pallet base for easy flatpack storage
and return. This innovative flatpack design minimises
costly storage and transport requirements and ensures
that users can benefit from the economic and
environmental advantages of reusing containers without
having to worry about storing bulky units between use.
Commenting on the new range, Julian
McHardy, Sales Director of Crocodile Packaging, says “Since
its recent launch at Pakex, the Flyweight range has
attracted a great deal of interest from existing and
potential customers. The new system typifies our
commitment to offering customers the most comprehensive
range of transit packaging. Designed for a wide range of
industries and applications, Flyweight can be supplied
to suit all different sizes and types of load.”
