Plywood Cases Product Range
|
18mm PLYWOOD HEAVYWEIGHT
Providing the ultimate in product protection, the 18mm system utilises
the large Crocodile spring steel clip. |
| 18mm plywood is made in
a range of grades and Crocodile source from a variety of manufacturers
and suppliers worldwide. |
| The type of plywood chosen
for a box will depend on the application, re-usability, required lifetime
and budget. As with all Crocodile boxes, the 18mm system can be custom
built to suit the cargo precisely. |
 |
18mm boxes are particularly relevant
where long-life reusability is required or where a heavy product with
high bursting properties is to be transported. The 18mm system is always
used where Crocodile boxes are used for transporting liquids.
|
12MM PLYWOOD MIDDLEWEIGHT
Using the smaller Crocodile clip, which is available in 2 widths, the
12mm system is the most popular range of Crocodile case. Providing much
higher degrees of protection than fibreboard boxes, the 12mm plywood cases
have outstanding stackability. |
| The pallet base is usually
the part of a box that takes the most punishment during transit and also
has to take most of the weight of the item inside the box. |
|
The 12mm boxes can be made with 18mm or 24mm bases
to give the best of both worlds and help reduce the unit price of boxes
where 18mm sides and ends are not required.
12mm plywood boxes are ideal as re-usable systems
and in some instances can be justified for one-trip use, particularly
where regular opening for inspection, adding components, customs checks
etc. is required.

 |
6MM PLYWOOD LIGHTWEIGHT
Where a lighter box is required or less protection is needed, the Crocodile
6mm riveted sleeve case may be the perfect answer. |
| 4-Sided Sleeve The 4-sided sleeve
is clipped to the pallet base with the option of a clipped or hatbox type
lid. The boxes provide all the advantages of clipping together without
the need for nails, screws or special tools but are very quick to assemble. |
 |
3-Sided Sleeve Using a 3-sided sleeve together with a separate
4th side, loading through an open front can be achieved using the Crocodile
6mm system, providing further options to help improve line-side operations
whilst minimising health and safety risks from back strains. Using a 3-sided sleeve together with a separate
